David Moyes could be in line to acquire the services of out-of-favour Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah - or so Fabrizio Romano believes.

The 24-year-old one-time England international has struggled for game time this season, despite deputising well last season in the absence of Gabriel Jesus. However, this season the Gunners star has been restricted to 24 appearances, 14 of which from the bench, compared to the 30 appearances he enjoyed last campaign. Nketiah also has five Champions League appearances - four from the bench - scoring once in the Gunners current run to the quarter-finals.

His form, however, has not deterred Arteta's plans to potentially say good-bye to the striker and he has since been dubbed "one to watch" this summer with the Italian transfer guru suggesting Nketiah could just move across England's capital to the London Stadium.

Romano did add in his Daily Briefing Substack Column, however, that it is still "very early" with regards to a move to the Hammers and the Irons have "not started any concrete talks at this stage." It was also noted that the striker is still 100% focused on the Gunners.

Arteta's apparent desires to sign a new striker, however, could change Nketiah's stance with the likes of Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres named as likely targets ahead of the June transfer window.

The 24-year-old striker from Lewisham initially began his youth career with Chelsea before moving to Arsenal in 2015. He spent the 2019/20 Championship-winning season on loan to Leeds, where he made 17 appearances and scored three goals, and has 19 goals from his 113 Premier League appearances with the Emirates side.

Eligible for both England and Ghana, Nketiah has represented the Three Lions at all youth levels, scoring 16 goals in 17 appearances for the U21 side. He made his senior debut in October 2023 as a 73rd-minute substitute in England's 1-0 win over Australia.
