Watford had a busy past summer as they prepared for life back in the Championship.

Rob Edwards was brought in as the new boss from Forest Green Rovers and brought in some reinforcements.

He also let some players leave the club permanently.

Here is where a look at where they have all gone...

Watford decided to sell the defender to Udinese but he has been loaned back.

He will link up with his new club at the end of this season.

Emmanuel Dennis, Nottingham Forest

The Hornets were dealt a blow when Nottingham Forest came calling for the Nigeria international.

Dennis was one of 22 new faces at the City Ground but is yet to score for the Reds in five outings.

Cucho Hernandez, Columbus Crew

He has embarked on a new chapter in his career over in America.

The attacker has made a positive first impression in the MLS and has fired nine goals in 14 matches for Columbus.

Samir, Tigres

It is safe to say his time at Vicarage Road didn’t really go to plan and he is now playing his football in Mexico with Tigres.

Adam Masina, Udinese

The left-back spent the past four years in Hertfordshire but left after the relegation from the Premier League.

Unlike Kamara, he actually linked up with Udinese immediately and didn’t return on loan.

Moussa Sissoko, Nantes

He moved over to England back in 2013 and played for Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur before joining the Hornets.

The midfielder is back in France now with Nantes and they finished 9th last season.

Philip Zinckernagel, Olympiacos

The winger helped Nottingham Forest gain promotion from the second tier during his temporary stint there in the last campaign.

Greek giants Olympiacos signed him over the summer but have loaned him out to Standard Liege in Belgium.

Kiko Femenia, Villarreal

He called time on his spell in England, for now at least, and moved back to Spain with Villarreal.

Right-back Mario Gaspar came the other way.

Josh King, Fenerbahce

Despite still having time left on his contract, the 30-year-old was allowed to leave in mid-July.

He moved to Turkey to link up with Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce and has since found the net three times.

Nicolas N’Koulou, Aris

Watford released him after their relegation and he has since been snapped up by Greek club Aris.

His manager is now former Newcastle and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew.

Andre Gray, Aris

He also plays for Pardew’s side and was shown the door by the Hornets this past summer following his loan stint at QPR.

Gray has started well to life in Greece and has scored seven goals in nine matches.

Adalberto Peñaranda, Boavista

He left for a few months ago and now struts his stuff for Portuguese top flight outfit Boavista.

Rob Elliot, Gateshead

The veteran goalkeeper was used as back-up in the last campaign.

Elliot, 36, joined National League side Gateshead as a Technical Director last month and is also registered as a player.

Pontus Dahlberg, IFK Göteborg

Watford signed the stopper back in 2018 from IFK Göteborg and he has now returned there.

He never made a senior appearance for the Championship side and was shipped out on loan five times, two of which were in England to Gillingham and Doncaster Rovers.

Danny Rose, free agent

The ex-Tottenham defender has a big decision to make on what to do next in the game.

Ben Foster, retired

He has called time on his playing career at the age of 39, despite revealing he had an offer from Newcastle to prolong his career.
