QPR were the only London Championship club to pick up points in their league outing over the weekend with a Michael Frey goal salvaging a point against Norwich City, despite Marti Cifuentes' side taking the lead in the 27th minute.

Millwall also lost an early lead in a 2-1 defeat to Coventry City on the road while Watford were overturned at home by high-flying Leicester City as their play-off push stutters.

Watford linked with Man Utd wonderkid

Watford have emerged as the latest contenders to strike a deal for Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo this summer as the winger continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford in search of more playing time.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Championship last term while on loan at Sunderland, scoring 13 goals for the Black Cats as they secured a play-off spot, but opted to fight for his place under Erik ten Hag this term. However, Amad has made just one appearance amid a knee issue despite 'positive conversations' with Ten Hag over his United future.

The player has been previously linked with Southampton, Leicester City and Middlesbrough but The Sun now reports that it is the Hornets who could secure a deal for the highly-rated talent. The outlet believes that the Pozzo family could bring Amad to Italian side Udinese and then loan him to Vicarage Road.

Watford are believed to have made a move for Amad during the January window while Birmingham City are another touted option for the star, with the chance to reunite with former Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray.

Leeds United £4.3m deal could fall through

Leeds United may not be able to bank on cashing in on defender Diego Llorente with Roma's intention to make a loan-to-buy deal permanent now coming under question.

The defender, who joined the Serie A outfit in January 2023 and then extended his stay last summer, had been poised to pay the £4.3 million clause agreed with the Whites but may now look elsewhere for a permanent defensive signing - despite Llorente playing 21 times for the club this season.

GiveMeSport report that Roma are assessing their options but could still make the deal permanent with a view to then sell the player straight away when the window opens. Ben Jacobs said: “With Llorente, there's an option for Roma to buy him. But we first have to understand the Roma situation because the appeal for the Serie A side is not necessarily just activating an option to buy.

“It's also in the value of that option to buy, which allows them to keep or sell on at a higher number. That’s where the player may feel like he's being used too much as a commodity and may not buy into that approach.”
