What happened to the 8 players who left Tottenham this summer as midfielder scores 6
A look at the players who left Tottenham this summer to see how they are getting on so far.
Tottenham enjoyed a strong and methodical summer transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou managing to improve his squad significantly with a handful of new signings. Spurs placed some emphasis on the future with the signing of young talent Archie Gray, who will be expected to make an impact this season.
While Dominic Solanke, a proven goalscorer at this level, was the statement signing, arriving on a deal worth more than £60 million. Meanwhile, there were also as many as eight departures over the course of the summer. Here we round up how each of those players is getting on at their respective new clubs.
Joe Rodon
Rodon has only made three league appearances for Leeds so far this season due to some injury issues. The Whites are currently fifth in the Championship.
Troy Parrott
Parrott is enjoying life in the Netherlands with AZ. He has already scored five goals in seven league appearances, helping them to third in the Eredivisie table.
Yago Santiago
Santiago joined Segunda Division side Elche, and he has made three league appearances for the Alicante-based side, scoring once so far. Elche are currently 12th.
Nile John
John joined Portuguese second tier club Feirense where he has made three league appearances.
Emerson Royal
One of the bigger profile exits, Emerson joined AC Milan and has hit the ground running with six appearances so far. Milan are currently sixth in the still tight Serie A table, and Emerson looks to be key player for this season.
Oliver Skipp
Skipp remained in the Premier League, joining newly promoted side Leicester City. he had been a regular for the Foxes, missing only one of their seven Premier League outings. The East Midlands side have picked up six points from their first seven outings.
Jude Soonsup-Bell
Soonsup-Bell never made a senior league appearance for Spurs despite doing so for Chelsea. He went on to join Spanish club Cordoba in the summer, and he has since made one league appearance. They are currently 16th in the Segunda Division table.
Giovani Lo Celso
Lo Celso rejoined Real Betis and has enjoyed a superb start to life back in Spain. The attacking midfielder who failed to fully convince Ange Postecoglou last season, has already scored six goals in seven games. Betis haven’t started so brilliantly as a collective, though, and are currently 10th.
