Tottenham starter says 'door is always open' in response to transfer rumours
One Spurs star has responded to transfer rumours ahead of what could be a big summer for the club.
One Tottenham star has been addressing reports that he could leave the club this summer. It’s a turbulent time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Spurs just one point above the relegation zone and seemingly in crisis mode.

Fans have been critical of how the club is being run, and rightly so given the lowly position of their team, and the warning signs were there after last season’s bottom half finish.
Interim boss Igor Tudor has lost every game but one, finally picking up a point over the weekend with a late draw against Liverpool. But it remains uncertain whether he will see out the season having been a pretty bizarre appointment.
The list goes on when it comes to Tottenham issues, and those issues will only be exacerbated if the club drop into the Championship.
Mass exits are likely if Tottenham do drop down a division, and so it is no surprise that we are already seeing plenty of players being linked with exits. One of them is full-back Pedro Porro, who has spoken to AS and responded to those early transfer whispers.
But he played them down, responding: “Right now, I’m not thinking about returning. I’m focused on getting through this, on getting out of it somehow.
“When you’re young, you dream about the biggest clubs. I’m at one, even though things aren’t going well for us. I’d like to return to Spain someday, also for my family. I hope the door is always open.”
Spurs can have few complaints about those comments. It’s only natural that a player wants to go home at some point, as is the desire to play at the very top level, but Porro made it clear that he is focused on the mission at hand, and that is all you can ask from your players.
