Tottenham fans will be livid if Tim Sherwood's Thomas Frank prediction comes true
Tim Sherwood has predicted what will happen with Thomas Frank amid growing pressure.
Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood believes Thomas Frank still has time to turn things around in North London. Spurs slumped to another defeat on Tuesday night, coming up short at home to an out of form Newcastle United.

The defeat leaves Spurs just five points above the relegation zone, and fans once again booed the players and staff amid continued struggles. Lack of player availability hasn’t helped, with injuries stacking up again, while Cristian Romero was sent off last time out, leaving his team short.
Tottenham also failed to strengthen the forward areas in the January window, which was a clear need amid injuries aplenty. But Frank has struggled for months now, and he certainly has a share in the blame.
But amid growing claims of an incoming sack for the Dane, former Spurs boss Sherwood believes the decision is not imminent.
“I think if he hasn’t been sacked by now, they’ve had a lot of opportunities to sack Thomas Frank, it hasn’t been good enough, then they won’t sack him,” Sherwood told Premier League Productions. I think they’ll persevere with him until the end of the season, see if he can get himself out of the hole he is in.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever seen him deflect, he normally takes all the brunt of it, takes it on the chin, he was talking about, ‘let’s not forget last season as well, it’s accumulation, it wasn’t great last year’, he’s deflecting around, I don’t like that, personally.
“I just think the brunt stops with you, you’re the manager. He’s going on the self-preservation a little bit, which is unusual for Thomas Frank, I think it’s the first time I’ve ever heard him not take responsibility, full responsibility.”
Tottenham’s tricky run
Asked about Tottenhams form and the closing in of the relegation zone, Sherwood added: “Yeah, they’re in a relegation battle, unfortunately, you can’t dress it up any other way, the table doesn’t lie. North London derby comes next, it’s not impossible that they can win that game, they would love to win that game because it would give them the confidence to move on, it would obviously upset their neighbours who are favourites to win the title as well which rubs salt in the wounds.
“But it’s not getting any easier, they go away to Fulham after that, then they play [Crystal] Palace, then the games come thick and fast after that. It’s about confidence, it’s about getting one result and building and bouncing into the next, at the moment they keep losing games, it becomes a habit in the end. The fans are not with them, there’s a disconnect between the fans and the pitch and this manager, there’s real problems at the moment.”
