Tottenham XI vs Brentford: Confirmed team news and predicted lineup as life after Harry Kane begins

Tottenham will begin begin their 2023/2024 Premier League season away at Brentford and will look to send a big statement that they can cope without a certain Harry Kane.

Tottenham will begin life without striker Harry Kane at Brentford with manager Ange Postecoglou now looking forward to the future following the confirmed exit of the England captain.

It is not all doom though with striker Richarlison returning to training and being declared fit ahead of the game, reports earlier had suggested he’d injured his knee and would not be ready.

Spurs boss Postecoglou backed the Brazilian striker to step up now that Kane has left. The Australian manager told the press ahead of the Premier League opener: “He is someone who has got all of the attributes that I look for in a striker, in that he has got the strong work ethic, he is always in the right areas and he is presenting himself and making a presence of himself in the right areas for the way we play.

“I have got a lot of time for him and he is one of the ones I am looking forward to working with. From the outside, you see a player and you try to picture how they fit into the kind of football you want to play and I certainly think that he can.”

Tottenham have also lost their last four games against the Bees including a 3-1 defeat at the end of last season that damaged their hopes of European football. With a new era beginning, the Lilywhites will hope they get a much-needed win that serves as a springboard for a successful campaign.

So with all that in mind, here is how Spurs are expected to line up:
