Tottenham vs Burnley injury news: nine ruled out, one doubt and one back for Premier League clash

Tottenham have lost their last four games ahead of this weekend’s game against Burnley.

Tottenham have failed to capitalise every time Aston Villa have left the door open for them in the race for Champions League football but this weekend they’ll hope to put an end to missed opportunities when they face Burnley in the Premier League

The Lilywhites will also need to watch their backs as further defeats could prove devastating with red-hot Chelsea now pushing to end a challenging season on a high and have jumped from 11th to seventh on the league table.

Burnley were thrashed 4-1 by Newcastle, but before that had hit some form, going three games without a defeat so this could prove to be a slippery banana peel for the north London club if they do not take care.

There is no immediate pressure under Spurs boss manager Ange Postecoglou but the way his team has failed to defend properly is generating intense debate within the fanbase, especially how they defend from setpieces.

They have conceded 14 goals from setpieces in their last 24 league games, and against Liverpool over the weekend went 4-0 behind before improving to lose 4-2.

Injuries have not helped Postecoglou who now has to decide who plays at left with both Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies all ruled out for the rest of the season and Emerson Royal not being particularly impressive.

But Spurs aren't the only team suffering from injuries with visitors Burnley having to deal with the loss of key players. So ahead of the game this weekend, this is a list of injured players and when they could return to the field again.
