Tottenham are back in action on Sunday when they face Liverpool at home.

Spurs are on the periphery of the title race as things stand, five points behind leaders Arsenal, but having played a game less. Antonio Conte’s men are battling injuries, especially at the top end of the pitch, but they need to find more consistency if they are going to make a run at the title.

On Sunday, they face another big test, taking on a Liverpool side desperate to change their fortunes amid their disappointing start to the season. Jurgen Klopp’s men are already 15 points off top spot, and while it is early, there is a feeling that if Liverpool lose again this weekend, their season could be as good as over.

Ahead of the clash, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has provided an update Lucas Moura, who has been battling injury. He said: “The problem with Lucas Moura is having different phases in his pain. Today it was really bad and they said he was really worried for this. I asked him to try to be available because we need him.”

Elsewhere, Dejan Kulisevski, Richarlison, Son Heung-min and Cristian Romero will all be absent with respective injuries.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, Jurgen Klopp has said: “(Jordan) Henderson is available. Had a little thing but serious enough not to be involved in the last game. Millie (James Milner) is not available. When you go through concussion protocol, you’re not available for the next game. You have to go through different stages.

“He’s fine but that’s how it is. Rightly. You have to go through different stages so he’s available for non-contact training on Monday and full contact training on Tuesday if everything goes well. That’s what we expect.”

Elsewhere, Liverpool will be without Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Naby Keita and Arthur Melo, while Joel Matip is a significant doubt with a calf injury.
