Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is topping the list of potential Tottenham managers as the board continue to search for the right man to replace sacked Antonio Conte.

The Lilywhites have been without a substantive head coach since they decided to terminate the contract of Antonio Conte in March and now have Ryan Mason in charge for the remainder of the season.

Spurs also ruled out the possibility of hiring highly-rated manager Julian Nagelsmann last week in what was a blow to fans on social media who were hoping their club could hire the German tactician.

LondonWorld.com understand that Arne Slot is well thought of by the Tottenham board and they have scheduled talks with the representatives of the Feyenoord boss this week as they look to find a new manager that will match the ambitions of the owners.

Despite Tottenham’s interest, Feyenoord are reportedly ready to offer their manager a new deal in the region of £ 2 million a year and even though that is a significant increase on his current wages, the Dutch manager knows he can get more at Tottenham and fulfill his dream of managing in the Premier League.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso - who had been linked with the Spurs role - ruled himself out of the running.

Tottenham face a really challenging summer where they will have to deal with sorting out a goalkeeper for the long-term, a defender to partner Cristian Romero, and convince striker Harry Kane to sign a new deal or at least stay for another season.
