As the January transfer window goes down to the last few days, Tottenham Hotspur supporters may be wishing for 31 January to speed up.

Antonio Conte's side are well known to be looking to reinforce their playing squad in the final days of this month, but one by one the club's transfer targets appear to be disappearing into thin air.

The worst news to wake up to for Spurs fans: Liverpool have hijacked the deal for Luis Diaz and the winger is set to join the Anfield side before the deadline passes, with a delegation heading to South America to conduct a remote medical.

Adam Traore has Barca medical [The Athletic]

The Wolves winger is back at Barcelona - his former side - as he completes a medical and signs for the La Liga giants. Tottenham are not expected to go back in for the long-term transfer target, with the player harbouring reservations about playing wing-back curtailing a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Atletico Madrid striker Morata to arrive? [COPE]

Spurs are reported to be one of the sides trying to sign the on-loan Juventus forward. Conte knows Morata well from their time at Chelsea and Juve may let the forward leave, once a deal for Dusan Vlahovic is wrapped up. Atletico Madrid do not wish to loan out Morata to Barcelona and there may a chance for English sides. Newcastle United have been linked.

Spurs agree Tanner fee [The Athletic]

One deal that is still progressing is that for Ollie Tanner, of Lewes FC. The Athletic report that a fee has been agreed with the non-league side now. There is interest from elsewhere in the 19-year-old however.

Ndombele deal in the balance [L'Equipe]

The French outlet says that Tanguy Ndombele’s proposed move to PSG could fall through due to a disagreement over the level of his wages paid by Les Parisiens.

Tottenham to miss out on Kessie [La Gazzetta dello Sport]

Kessie is likely to sign on a free transfer for Juventus or Inter Milan next summer, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport, in another blow for Spurs' transfer plans.

Gil still wanted by La Liga sides [Superdeporte]

Reports in Spain say that Spurs winger Bryan Gil is a loan target for several teams still, with Valencia at the head of the queue. That, however, may depend on incomings - if any - at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Sofyan Amrabat deal good to go [Sky Sports Italy]

The Fiorentina midfielder is very close to completing a move to Spurs, although there must first be a departure from Conte's squad. Ndombele's move to PSG could seal Amarabat going to London.

No Newcastle move for Dele [The Athletic]

The Magpies are not in talks for Dele Alli, who appears to not have an immediate future at Tottenham. Eddie Howe is not a fan of the attacking midfielder, according to the outlet.

One good piece of news - to balance the not-so-good - Son Heung-Min has taken to social media to confirm that he is close to playing again soon.
