Tottenham are among four Premier League clubs targetting Lille’s Canadian striker Jonathan David, according to the i. The report further adds that Manchester United, West Ham United, and Aston Villa are also stepping up their interest in him.
Lille president Olivier Letang confirmed last week that David is available for transfer, given the 24-year-old only has one year left on his current contract. He scored 26 goals in 47 appearances for the French club last season.

Hide AdSpurs have the Europa League added to their rota next season after finishing fifth and haven't properly replaced Harry Kane since he departed for Bayern Munich last summer. Spurs sources have said they’ll be looking for firepower up front. None of the Premier League teams interested have made offers yet, so it's still an open race ahead of what should be an interesting summer.
Pivotal Summer for the Lilywhites
Tottenham have created space in the wage bill by mutually agreeing to terminate the contract of Tanguy Ndombele. They have also opted against renewing the contracts of Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon. Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic have left, with the club confirming that they’ve secured a loan extension for forward Timo Werner.
There is now space for more additions, with Bryan Gil expected to leave as well as Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who made it clear he wasn't happy with his game time under manager Ange Postecoglou last season. He told Tipsbladet:
“Of course, I am not satisfied with what is going on at the club. It's not a secret, but it's not something I make a fuss about either. I can put my head on the pillow knowing that I'm giving it my all to show the coach he has to believe in me. This is not the case at the moment, and it is the coach who must explain why.”
Sources have said they will be looking to add a midfielder and another defender to their squad as well as the well-known striker search.
