'Inspiration': Tottenham star lifts lid on Ange Postecoglou's dressing room move on international duty

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski had to repeat Ange Postecoglou's move with his Swedish teammates.

Tottenham forward Dejan Kulusevski has shown he is learning from his manager on and off the pitch by admitting he had to lean on Ange Postecoglou's speeches when asked to deliver a message to his international teammates.

Sweden recovered from a 5-2 defeat to Portugal with a 1-0 win over Albania and Kulusevki revealed he revisited team talks in north London to ensure he did a good job when asked to deliver one by his country's coach Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Kulusevski told Swedish football media outlet Fotbollskanalen: "[Tomasson] took me aside for a second and asked if I could talk and I said I'll solve it.

"Then I had to walk around thinking what to say, but it was fun. Maybe I'll have to take it again next time.

"I get inspiration from everything. The speech was from my coach in Tottenham. He is strong on it so I copied a little because I believe in what he says. I prepared that we have to play as a family because a family protects each other."

Back to business

Kulusevski is back in north London now and will hope he gets Spurs back on track after their disappointing showing against Fulham before the break. Luckily Aston Villa could only draw against West Ham, so there remains just two points between fourth and fifth in the league table and all to play for.

When Kulusevki first joined Tottenham, he was integral in the team securing Champions League Football and will need to better his six goals and three assists from 26 Premier League games so far this campaign if they are to end on a high.
