Medical booked as Tottenham set to pull off sensational signing of 17y/o before transfer window shuts

Tottenham beat Barcelona to the signing of one of Europe's highly-rated young midfielders.

Tottenham have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall from  Djurgårdens IF minutes before the January transfer window shuts, LondonWorld understand. The 17-year-old was shown around Spurs' training ground on Monday after the club decided to hijack the deal.

He still had to decide between the Lilywhites and Spanish side Barcelona but he's now decided to join Ange Postecoglou's side in a massive boost for the north London club who have made good use of the winter transfer window.
