Tottenham have now won five consecutive league games at their new stadium for the first time since moving from White Hart Lane.

The Lillywhites have also become only the fifth team in Premier League history to have scored 1000 goals at home, only Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have crossed that line.

Antonio Conte’s side are unbeaten this season having shown incredible resilience to grind out a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last week.

The battle of Stamford Bridge was considered to be a show of mental strength, the Wolves game showed a new found skill that has seen Harry Kane score his second header of the season already, both crucial to the form of his team.

The English striker profited from a flick off new signing Ivan Perisic to ensure Spurs picked up all three points on the day, the strike was his 250th for the club.

The nature of the win will delight manager Antonio Conte who has seen his side go from strength to strength since he took over last November.

The fact that they have now won five consecutive league games at home is also an indication of their new found strength and reason why many are tipping them to have a brilliant campaign.

The picking points all that matters

The Lillywhites had to ride their luck but eventually just did enough in the second half to take all three points.

Wolves showed snippets of intent, but their goal scoring problem still persists and had they had a player in the ilk of Kane, the story would have been different today.

For Kane- that is now four points he’s won for his team having scored the all important equaliser against Chelsea and now getting the goal against Wolves.
