Tottenham predicted XI vs Everton as £15m star linked with an exit in the January transfer window starts

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou for the first time in months faces a selection headache.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has surely played his way back to the Tottenham starting eleven after impressing off the bench against Brentford in midweek. He's been linked to Juventus throughout the transfer window but it's a credit to him that he's remained level-headed and produced performances to help the team.

Postecoglou also has Pape Sarr available again following Senegal's elimination from the African Cup of Nations, leaving him with plenty of competition in midfield.

The Spurs boss admitted that he'd been boosted by the return of the 21-year-old ahead of the game at Goodison. He told the press at the club's training base at Hotspur Way: "Everyone got through the other night OK so no issues, obviously a short turnaround so the lads still recovering from that, so we haven't really done too much training-wise but they all feel good. And obviously, Pape Sarr is back after a long flight and he'll be involved but to what extent we will see."

For Everton, Idrissa Gueye is also back in contention following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations to help ease Everton's injury problems in central midfield. Sean Dyche's side have won just once in their past nine games in all competitions, while they are winless in five Premier League matches.

Tottenham have won five of their past seven Premier League matches, but only one of their last five away from home so manager Postecoglou will have to approach this cautiously. So with that in mind, here is the team we anticipate, hell name for the trip.
