Tottenham predicted starting next season - if Antonio Conte gets all his transfer targets this summer
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is building a team that most opponents will not want to face.
The Lillywhites defied expectations to snatch that all-important Champions League spot ahead of rivals Arsenals - and the difference that makes has been crystal clear already.
Fraser Forster has arrived from Southampton to rival Hugo Lloris for the number one position while the experienced Ivan Perisic is in town.
There is Yves Bissouma who turned down the chance to join Aston Villa in January and has instead moved to north London.
When the likes of Harry Winks and Steven Bergwijn leave there will be space to bring players that suit the ideas the Italian manager wants to play next season.
Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni is high on the list of wants, while Djed Spence from Middlesbrough has been widely mentioned too.
So, with all the names being bundled around, here is the team Antonio Conte could play on the opening day against Southampton.

2. CB Eric Dier
Unlucky not to have made the England team and if he continues his form then he will definitely make a case for himself to be on the plane to Qatar.

3. CB Cristian Romero
When fit, the Argentine was key in starting Conte’s counter attacks from the back las season, and there is feeling that there is more to come from him.

4. CB Clement Lenglet
Tottenham are in talks over a loan deal for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet, as a left-side centre back.
