Tottenham player ratings: 'Brutal' 3/10 and plenty of 4/10s in 'dreadful' Fulham defeat at Craven Cottage

Tottenham were desperately disappointing at Craven Cottage and deservedly lost 3-0 to Fulham.

Tottenham's hopes of securing Champions League football next season took a massive hit north bank of the Thames following a 3-0 defeat to Fulham. This was also the first time they had failed to score a goal in a Premier League game under manager Ange Postecoglou. The Australian manager would not have seen the level of low performance from his team.

Spurs looked like they were still celebrating their 4-0 thumping of Aston Villa last weekend, making half-hearted challenges as Fulham won the 50-50 ones, so when Rodrigo Muniz opened the scoring for the hosts, not many inside Craven Cottage including Spurs fans were surprised. Fulham were vibrant and deserved their lead.

Postecoglou's side looked a pale shadow of the side that controlled the game at Villa Park last weekend, the halftime whistle couldn't come early enough for the north London club.

But things went from bad to worse early in the second half when Sasa Lukic connected with a Timothy Castagne ball to double Fulham's lead. Marco Silva's side were all over Tottenham, putting in challenges, getting there and generally being better than Spurs.

But not even the second goal could wake Tottenham from their slumber, loose balls and a general lack of concentration littered through their performance, but Fulham were not complaining as Muniz bagged his second to make it 3-0.

Spurs manager Postecoglou with his hands in his coat needed to react, and he did so by changing his engine room, replacing the ineffective duo of Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma with the fresh legs of Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

James Maddison who looked like like he'd picked up a knock also gave way to Timo Werner as they hoped for a miraculous come-back. Fulham though held on and deserved their emphatic win. Here is how we rated the Lilywhites out there.
