Tottenham player ratings vs Everton: 'Brilliant' 8 and 'special' 7 in nervy 2-1 win

Tottenham player ratings vs Everton as Ange Postecoglou's in-form side take all three points at home.

Richarlison scored for the third game running to help Tottenham to a 2-1 win over Everton in the Premier League. Spurs captain Son Heung-min got the second and even though Andre Gomes pulled one back late on, the Lilywhites held on for all three points.

Everton had come into the game in fine form in the league, but Tottenham's early dominance landed a blow on any plan they would have had of frustrating and suffocating their north London hosts.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou was without Yves Bissouma, suspended for the next four games due to his sending-off at Nottingham Forest last weekend, his second already this campaign. Hence, the dependable Oliver Skipp got a deserved start after impressing from the bench lately.

Pape Matar Sarr will be a big miss when he leaves for the AFCON next month, but here he was unplayable, covering every blade of grass and leaving the pitch to a standing ovation from the home fans. The suspension of Destiny Udogie also meant Emerson Royal started in his spot. The Brazilian was outstanding in defence and attack and has left his manager with a decision to make when Udogie returns.

This was the perfect gift for Tottenham fans who endured a tough November where injuries derailed their brilliant start, but they have rallied and now can enjoy their Christmas meal knowing they have fought their way back to form.

Here is how we rated the Spurs players out there:
