Tottenham player ratings as Harry Kane bags a brace to close gap on Arsenal in North London derby

Tottenham secured a significant 3-0 win over their North London rivals Arsenal on Thursday night.

Antonio Conte’s men took the lead through a Harry Kane penalty after Cedric nudged Son in the penalty box.

Kane stepped up and put Ramsdale the wrong way.

And things would go from bad to worse for Arsenal, who had Rob Holding sent off for an elbow on Son to reduce the Gunners to 10 men midway through the first half.

Kane got his second minutes after that, with the Tottenham striker finishing off with his head from close range to put his side well and truly on top and kill the game.

The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium was truly electric and the Spurs fans never stopped singing throughout the game.

Arsenal then re-organised to close the game out and stop it from turning into an absolute trashing, which could affect their psychology for the remaining games.

Spurs have won their last three home games against Arsenal for the first time since 1961 and the performance today truly deserved all three points.

For Arsenal they have a trip to Newcastle on Monday night, where they can not afford to slip knowing very well that Spurs would be on their heels to try and snatch that precious Champions League spot.
