Tottenham player nicknames at the stadium and around Hotspur Way

We all think we know the Tottenham players, but what do their friends, family and teammates call them?

Despite mixed fortunes on the field, Tottenham’s dressing room is a good place to be as a player right now.

Italian manager Antonio Conte is able to express himself in multiple languages, while club captain and World Cup winner Hugo Lloris has created one of the friendliest atmospheres you can dream of as a professional player.

In the summer a host of international stars arrived to try to help the Lilywhites continue their upward strides towards silverware under Conte.

The likes of Clement Lenglet and Yves Bissouma have added different ingredients to the Tottenham dressing room, but how does the banter sound?

From Sunday league to Champions League, every team creates nicknames for its players.

Even manager Antonio Conte shortens the names during press conerences, so if you follow Tottenham religiously you probably now know, for example, that Dejan Kulsevski is reffered to as Deki.

Tottenham will take on Arsenal later today, hoping to take the three points and find their way back into top four - while at the same time damaging Arsenal’s push for a first Premier League title since 2004.

So with the Lilywhites fans counting on their team to respond, here are the men for the job - and their nicknames.
