Tottenham's latest signing Radu Dragusin is flying into London today to undergo his medical from Genoa before signing his new deal with the north London club, LondonWorld has been told.

Spurs beat German giants Bayern Munich to the signing of the exciting 21-year-old and will pay  £21.5million with a further £4.3m in add-ons to follow later on.

Part of the deal that made it straight-forward for the Italian club is allowing Tottenham right-back Djed Spence to move in the opposite direction on an initial loan move with £8.5m fee likely to make it a permanent deal in the summer.

The 21-year-old Romanian centre-back can make his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday alongside fellow new signing Timo Werner who also joined the club this week from RB Leipzig. He is another signing the north London club beat off competition from other Premier League clubs to seal.

The signing of the duo is a massive statement from the Tottenham board who have moved fast to back their impressive Australian manager Ange Postecoglou, having missed their first-choice players due to injuries and suspension after a brilliant start to the campaign.

Club captain Son Heung-min is away at the Asian Cup while Mali and Senegal have got Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr at the AFCON in Ivory Coast. These absences add to the injuries to James Maddison, Cristian Romero and the now-returning Micky van de Ven.

When Spurs had their first team intact, they made their best-ever start to the season in 30 years, winning eight of their first 10 games without a defeat before the wheels came off in November against Chelsea.
