New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is widely expected to return to Celtic for top scorer Kyogo Furuhashi this summer, especially with the future of Harry Kane still up in the air and Real Madrid lurking.

The Australian manager was confirmed as Tottenham manager on Tuesday on a four-year deal and has now been tasked to build a team that will play football that is attractive to the Tottenham fanbase.

The job is a reward for his incredible two-year spell in Glasgow where he inherited a team that had just lost the Premiership to Rangers but transformed them into a treble-winning side at the time he was leaving.

At the heart of the winning team was Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi who was the first to follow Ange through the door when he first signed for Celtic, and in the period has bagged 54 goals and emerged the top scorer in the league again this season.

Harry Kane has a year left on his contract and Real Madrid have made him their No 1 transfer target this summer. Postecoglou will attempt to persuade him to extend his stay and Kyogo isn’t exactly a like-for-like replacement.

LondonWorld sources also say Kyogo Furuhashi who is seen as an absolute superstar in the Scottish league will fancy the chance to move to the Premier League with Spurs looking to rebuild after a season that ended without any kind of European football for the first time since 2010.

The former Australian manager is expected to start work on July 1 even though he will now be consulted when it comes to football decisions.
