In the meantime, they continue to be linked with new signings after what has already been a busy summer of additions.

Chalobah linked

Tottenham are being linked with a move for Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah is seen as a promising talent, but he has not been included in either of the Blues’ first two games of the season.

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham, along with Roma and Inter Milan, are expressing an interest in landing the 23-year-old.

Malinovskyi boost

Spurs are said to be in pole position to land Ruslan Malinovskyi.

Atalanta are said to want a touch under £17million for their star this summer, with Nottingham Forest failing with a bid worth around £13million.

Marseille were said to be Tottenham’s main rival in the race to land the Ukrainian, but Corriere della Serra via Inside Futbol, are saying the Ligue 1 side have pulled out of the race.

That could leave Spurs in pole position.

Tottenham are said to be confident of keeping midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg beyond the summer transfer window.

Hojbjerg has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid this summer, and it has been suggested Spurs could lose him.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham held late night talks with Hojbjerg over his situation, and they are now ‘confident’ he will stay.

That will be a big boost for Conte heading further into the season.
