Tottenham injury update: Giovani Lo Celso, Ben Davies, Manor Solomon latest news and return dates

Tottenham's injury woes are subsiding after James Maddison made his return in the 1-0 defeat to Man City.

Nathan Ake's late goal condemned Tottenham to their first defeat at home to Manchester City for the first time since 2019. That goal also meant Spurs crashed out of the FA Cup with little chance of winning a trophy this season.

There was one positive from the game as James Maddison returned after being out since the 6th of November 2023. The England midfielder was one of the best players before his injury against Chelsea and his return improves their chances of winning games based on the evidence of his form before the setback.

There is a need for a quick response to the disappointing defeat to Manchester City when they host Brentford on Wednesday night in the Premier League and with the City game behind them, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou will hope to recover some of his stars for when the Bees visit on Wednesday night.

Ben Davies was such a big cover when Micky van de Ven was out injured,  but he's battling a hamstring injury and his return will increase competition for places as well as the rapid Manor Solomon who hasn't played this year due to a knee injury.

The Lilywhites also have Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr out in Ivory Coast for the ongoing AFCON so don't expect to see them back in north London anytime soon after both Mali and Senegal qualified for the knockout stage.

Spurs are just three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa so getting players back from injury will help their push to finish in a Championship League spot. So here is the list of their injured players and those away from international duty including captain Son Heung-min.
