Tottenham set for massive injury boost as 21-year-old returns to training ahead of Crystal Palace

Tottenham injury update ahead of their Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham missed energetic left-back Destiny Udogie in their 2-1 defeat to Wolves but have benefitted from having a week off after their game against Chelsea was postponed due to the Blues being involved in the Carabao Cup final.

The week break means they will now have Destiny Udogie back after he had extra days to recover from his injury. The 21-year-old has been suffering from a muscle strain but sources have said he is now back in training ahead of the London derby against Palace this weekend.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said last week when asked about the defender: “Probably a couple of weeks for him [Porro]. With the game break hopefully, he doesn’t miss too many.”

Pedro Porro and Manor Solomon also missed the game but they are still likely to miss this one as well as long-term absentees Fraser Forster and  Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham recently confirmed Sessegnon has had surgery on his hamstring again: The club statement read: "Ryan Sessegnon has undergone surgery to his right hamstring following an injury during an under-21s match."

"The 23-year-old will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team to determine when he can return to training."

Sessegnon took to Instagram to reveal his devastation, writing: "I’ve been down this road before. I’ll pick myself up, stay head strong and begin my recovery in the best way possible."

"Having been through an operation and the recovery on my other hamstring last year, and knowing how strong that hamstring is now, I know this is the best solution to put an end to the reoccurring issues."
