Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with goalkeepers and midfielders ahead of the January transfer window.

The fixtures continue to come thick and fast for Tottenham Hotspur but just over the horizon, past the busy festive run-in, is the opening of the January transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou was backed with money over the summer and splurged on the likes of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert. However, despite the investment, Spurs have been left somewhat lacking at times so far this season.

That could point to further investment in the New Year, although the January window is a notoriously tricky time of year to bring in new recruits. LondonWorld looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up come the end of January if current transfer rumours are true, with market values as per Transfermarkt.

GK - Anthony Patterson, £10m

Postecoglou has insisted that the club won't look to bring in another goalkeeper to fill in for the injured Guglielmo Vicario, backing Fraser Forster between the sticks. However, that hasn't stopped the rumour mill.

Football Insider report this weekend that Spurs are looking at a January swoop for two Championship talents. One is Burnley shot-stopper James Trafford, who tasted top flight action last season with the Clarets, and the other is Sunderland man Anthony Patterson.

LB - Destiny Udogie, £37m

An ever-present in the side this season. The 22-year-old arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Udinese for £15 million in 2022.

CB - Micky Van de Ven, £46m

Has been struggling with a hamstring injury this season, suffering a setback in the dramatic match against Chelsea earlier this month. Looks worth the £43 million paid for him last year so far.

CB - Cristian Romero, £54m

The other half of Postecoglou's preferred centre-back pairing has also had a tough time with injuries this term. The Argentina international had worked his way back from a toe injury only to pick up a calf niggle against Chelsea.

RB - Pedro Porro, £37m

Received a telling-off from Postecoglou for sloppiness against Rangers but is another mainstay in the Spurs starting XI.

CM - Tijjandi Reijnders, £25m

Calciomercato recently named Spurs as one of the suitors looking at a transfer swoop for the AC Milan man, alongside Chelsea and Manchester City. The 26-year-old is capable of picking up goals and assists from deep in midfield and would add beef into the centre of the park for Spurs.

CM - Andy Diouf, £8.3m

GiveMeSport reported Tottenham Hotspur transfer interest in the Lens star last week. The London club has sent scouts to watch Diouf in the summer and have been monitoring the 21-year-old since, attracted by his versatility.

CM - Dejan Kulusevksi, £46m

Has been a standout star so far this season. Kulusevski bagged the equaliser against Rangers and has earned plaudits in that new role.

LW - Son Heung-min, £37m

The main man in attack, it's been a quiet season so far by Son's standards. The South Korean international's contract is currently set to expire next summer with question marks over his future in North London.

ST - Dominic Solanke, £37m

Arrived from AFC Bournemouth for £65 million this summer and appears to still be settling into life in London. Solanke has been amongst the goals but there's a sense he can be more talismanic.

Quietly going about having a pretty impressive season. The 23-year-old has seen plenty of game time this term and a reliable option on the flank.
