Tottenham Hotspur managed to scrape a big three points against a nine-man Liverpool side last weekend after a truly chaotic Premier League fixture. Thanks to a stoppage time own goal from the Reds, Spurs are second in the table on 17 points, just one behind leaders and reigning champions Manchester City.
Despite a hefty injury list, Ange Postecoglou’s side have a very good chance of going top of the table this week. City have a big challenge ahead as they prepare to take on Arsenal, so Spurs can leapfrog into first place if they extend their winning run against Luton Town and Pep Guardiola’s side drop points.
We’ve put together our predicted Spurs lineup to face Premier League newboys Luton on Saturday.
1. GK — Guglielmo Vicario
Has been solid overall since joining the club and will look to keep this momentum going.
2. RB — Pedro Porro
Put in a very strong performance against Liverpool and will certainly be key in defence against Luton.
3. CB — Cristian Romero
Redeemed himself against Liverpool after a performance to forget during the North London Derby.
4. CB — Micky van de Ven
Has been quietly putting in shifts at the back for Spurs and will look to keep up more of the same this weekend.
