Tottenham Hotspur got their pre-season campaign underway this afternoon as they faced South Korea’s K League XI.

Antonio Conte’s side travelled to the Asian country for their pre-season tour in honour of star man Son Heung-min, with another match against Sevilla lined up before they return home.

Tottenham’s starting XI featured a rather strong side including Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Rodrigo Bentancur, while a significant number of changes were made throughout as the likes of Troy Parrott, Harvey White and Charlie Sayers were handed their chances.

Tottenham play out thriller

Tottenham enjoyed a very dramatic 6-3 victory over K-League XI at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, with Eric Dier the unlikely source of their opener.

A headed goal would probably be expected by the England international, however it was instead a sensational shot from outside the box that put Spurs 1-0 up.

The clash almost mirrored a tennis match after that, with both sides taking turns scoring goals before Son’s penalty finally extended their lead to 4-2.

Harry Kane bagged his second of the afternoon shortly after, before the South Korean completed his brace on home soil with five minutes remaining.

Who else will Tottenham play during pre-season?

Tottenham will conclude their trip to South Korea with a lunchtime kick-off against Sevilla on Saturday before returning to London.

However, they won’t remain in the English capital long, with a visit to the Ibrox Stadium for a tie with Rangers pencilled in for the following weekend (Saturday 23 July).

Their final pre-season clash will see the squad reunited with Jose Mourinho, as Spurs take on AS Roma in Israel on Saturday 30 July.
