Tottenham Hotspur player Richarlison is reportedly the subject of interest from various clubs in the Saudi Pro League and they could make a move for the ex-Everton and Watford man as soon as the January transfer window.

While a flurry of players moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window, there is not expected to be much of an exodus to the Middle East in January. Nevertheless, Richarlison remains in their sights - though it is unclear as to which clubs are specifically targeting him.

Richarlison's time at Spurs has been largely unsuccessful to say the least. This season, he has scored two goals and has notched up three assists over the course of 12 games in all competitions - in 2022/23, he could only muster one goal and four assists in 27 Premier League appearances.

Should Tottenham sell Richarlison?

While interested from Saudi Arabia in Richarlison's services certainly seems apparent, according to 90min, this does not mean that Spurs are willing to action a sale for the Brazilian. Ange Postecoglou is said to have no intention of selling Richarlison in January and will only entertain offers that either equal to or are greater than the £60 million fee that Spurs paid for him.

As mentioned, he has struggled to find form ever since he arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer of 2022. This doesn't mean that they should immediately cut their losses, however - his time at Everton and Watford has shown that he is an extremely talented footballer who can be an effective attacking presence in the Premier League.

He presents a useful utility option in the final third. He can play as a right winger, a left winger and as an out-and-out striker - his best successes have generally come on the left wing, where he can cut inside on his preferred right foot.
