Midfielder hunt latest

Tottenham have reportedly overtaken Nottingham Forest in the race to sign Ruslan Malinovksyi from Atalanta.

The midfielder, who is a Ukraine international with 49 caps under his belt, has been playing in Serie A since 2019.

According to Italian news outlet Tutto Atalanta, Antonio Conte’s side are trying to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the end of the transfer window.

Southampton in race for target

Southampton are said to be leading the race to sign Spurs-linked James Garner from Manchester United.

The England youth international spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Championship and helped the Reds gain promotion to the Premier League.

Former Spurs man Dele Alli could be set for a new move.
