Despite the summer transfer window only opening on Friday, Tottenham Hotspur have been extremely active as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

With Djed Spence looking increasingly likely to be Antonio Conte’s second signing, he has also recently set his sights on Everton attacker, Richarlison.

While a number of clubs were thought to be interested in the 25-year-old, Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte have now claimed the two clubs are in advanced talks over a potential €60 million move for Richarlison.

The forward had reportedly told Everton he wants to leave this summer ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, despite managing to secure their Premier League status for next season.

While the Brazilian has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Aston Villa and Arsenal, it looks like Tottenham are about to win the race for his signature.

While it would take a lot to budge Harry Kane from the starting line-up, Steven Bergwijn’s impending departure could pave the way for Richarlison to make an impact in North London.

As well as Richarlison, the Daily Telegraph reported last month that Spurs were monitoring Anthony Gordon and Ben Godfrey - though that could have depended on the Toffees being relegated.
