Tottenham produced a brilliant performance to beat Manchester City 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Harry Kane moved ahead of Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham’s all time record scorer with his strike against Manchester City which secured all three points on the day.

The strike was also Kane’s 200th Premier League goal and now has him looking at Wayne Rooney who scored 208 and Alan Shearer who has 260.

England striker Kane has 19 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites and emerged as the winner in his personal battle against Manchester City’s Erling Haaland who had a quiet afternoon in north London.

Son who has played with Kane and assisted him the most on his way to this record breaking goal scoring feat revealed everyone at the club was looking forward to him breaking such an important record.

Son told reporters after the game: “Kane is world class and we are lucky to play every day, there is no doubt about his quality.

“You can see that we are all happy for him and we told him that out there and also in the dressing room because this is such an important record to have.

“Knowing him he will celebrate this tonight and then just get ready for work the next day because we have season targets too.”

Tottenham’s win means City will stay five points behind Arsenal who lost to Everton Saturday.

Surprisingly- Manchester City are yet to win away against Tottenham since they moved to their new stadium, they have been able to even score in five attempts with their manager admitting Tottenham deserved all three points because of how compact they defended.
