Next Tottenham transfer spotted at West Ham match ahead of £13m move
Thomas Frank's upcoming arrival watched Spurs suffer a 2-1 defeat to struggling West Ham on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Conor Gallagher made his debut for the side against West Ham on Saturday and the club’s next January signing was also spotted in North London.

Thomas Frank’s men suffered a painful 2-1 defeat to relegation threatened West Ham, an injury time winner for Callum Wilson casting serious doubt over the manager’s future at Spurs. For now, Frank remains backed by the board with more spending expected in this month’s transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur splurged £35 million on signing Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and another player reported to be undergoing a medical at a similar time was Brazilian youngster Souza.

The 19-year-old is expected to sign for Spurs from Santos but the Premier League outfit is yet to confirm that the transfer has been completed. Fans were given a big hint that confirmation is just a matter of time now with Souza spotted walking through the mixed zone following defeat to the Hammers.
GiveMeSport report that Spurs are set to pay £13 million for the defender with Santos president Marcelo Teixeira admitting that a deal had been struck. It’s added that a deal for Souza had actually been agreed before finalising the terms of the Gallagher transfer.
The delay comes with the player needing to travel from Brazil and complete a medical, which it is believed that he has passed. There are also more complications involved with the paperwork to sign a player from South America.
Souza posts farewell message to Santos
Souza himself has posted a farewell message to Santos on social media ahead of the transfer. The player wrote: “After 10 years of defending this shield, the time has come for a new challenge.
“The last year was intense, of growth and overcoming, but even in the difficult moments, I felt the affection and support of the Santista cheerleading. This will never be forgotten. I walk out with my head held high, grateful for all that I have experienced and for the certainty that this story was built with truth. Thanks for everything, Santos is a pride that not everyone can have!”
Under pressure Frank gave an update on transfer progress over the weekend, admitting that new arrivals are important to reassure fans amid a poor run of results. He said: “I think in terms of the transfer strategy, we can only prove that by good signings and doing things the right way, and if someone is negative and there is a bad history or whatever it is, the only way we can prove it is by changing it.
“Of course, I can sit up here and talk a lot, but we need to show it by actions. So that is what we are doing, and I will just say behind the scenes, the strategy, the structure, the process in place looks good and looks like the real thing, but we need to just show it consistently. I think the Conor Gallagher signing was a good step in the right direction.”
