AS Monaco vs Tottenham injury news as 7 ruled out and 2 doubts for Champions League clash
A look at the injury news surrounding Monaco and Tottenham ahead of their Champions League clash.
Tottenham are back in Champions League action on Wednesday as they look to build on a steady start to their European campaign. Spurs beat Villarreal in their opener but could only claim a point from an away clash with Bodo/Glimt.

On Wednesday night, they head to glamorous Monaco to face a team that has just one point from their first two European outings. The French club have had rotten luck with injuries early in the season, something Tottenham know plenty about after last season.
Here we round up the injury news surrounding both of these teams, and keep in mind that those who are not registered in the Champions League squads are not included in the final count, given they are not eligible in any case.
Eric Dier - Doubt
Dier could miss out against his former club with a muscular issue.
Vanderson - Out
Vanderson is going to be out until November with a hamstring problem.
Christian Mawissa - Out
Mawissa will be absent with a hamstring issue.
Denis Zakaria - Out
Zakaria is out with a leg fracture, but he is back soon, expected to be back in the next couple of weeks.
Lukas Hradecky - Out
The goalkeeper is out for another couple of weeks with a knee injury.
Paul Pogba - Out
Pogba is going to be absent until early November with a thigh issue.
Cristian Romero - Doubt
Romero has a fresh issue, with Frank explaining: “He had a minor issue with his adductor. I expect it to be a minor thing. He could be, he couldn't [be available for Wed]. I just don't know. Right now, if I'm honest.”
Destiny Udogie - Fit
Frank said ahead of last weekend: “He came back from international duty with a minor irritation in the knee, so that just keeps him out for this game.”
Dejan Kulusevski - Out - Not UCL eligible
Kulusevsk is is going to remain out until late November. Frank saidlast month: “He's a key, key player for us. Instead of putting an exact month on [his return]. I just want him back as quick as possible. I know the medical team and Dejan are working very hard on that... It's not tomorrow, hopefully not too far away.”
Dominic Solanke - Out
Frank said last week: “Dom is progressing well after surgery, he's been back on pitch this week, he's progressing and going forward, that's good. I'm actually taking a little bit day by day and week by week to see how quickly he progresses.” He will be back in early November.
Ben Davies - Out
Davies picked up a muscular injury during the international window and will remain out here.
Radu Dragusin - Out - Not UCL-eligible
It looks like Dragusin will be back in late October. Frank said last week in a fresh update: “He's progressing well. He's been on the grass for three weeks and is progressing as well as it should. We all know coming back from an ACL is a long one - he's on track - but it will be a few weeks before he's able to be involved.”
Yves Bissouma - Out - Not UCL-eligible
Bissouma is out for a few weeks with an ankle injury he picked up on international duty. Frank explained: “ Biss, unfortunately, had a situation with the national team, I think everyone saw that, so he got a ligament injury to his ankle that will keep him out for weeks.”
Kota Takai - Out - Not UCL eligible
Takai is expected to return within the next couple of weeks from a troubling ankle issue.
James Maddison - Out - Not UCL eligible
