Ivan Perisic: Brilliant photos of new Tottenham man from his early days to a global football star

Tottenham have announced the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan with the deal expected to kick-start a very busy summer for the Lillywhites.

The 32-year-old winger is another proof of the pull of manager Antonio Conte who is expected to stay on and lead Spurs to their first Champions League campaign in three seasons.

Perisic arrives with multiple experience having started his career at Hajduk Split and Sochaux before a short loan spell at KSV Roeselare in Belgium.

He arrived then moved to Brugge as a rising star and went on to establish himself as one of the best players in Belgium, ending his second season as the top scorer in the league.

Dortmund came calling and he jumped at the opportunity, working with now Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and playing with some of the world’s best talents at the time.

His impressive performance at Dortmund led to a move to Wolfsburg and by the time he was on his way to Inter Milan, he’d won the German Bundesliga, two DFB-Pokal and the DFL-Supercup.

At Inter Milan he evolved into one of the best wingers in the Serie A before a quick loan move to Bayern in 2019 rewarded him the Champions League trophy, another Bundesliga title and this third  DFB-Pokal Cup.

He returned to Italy the following season and made history by helping the current Tottenham manager Antonio Conte then together at Inter Milan, win Inter’s first league title in a decade with Perisic playing as a left wing-back, a position he is expected to keep at Tottenham.

Last season brought  a Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana with the wing back scoring 10 goals and assisting nine.
