Could Harry Kane be at Tottenham parade after Bayern Munich ace granted permission to celebrate Crystal Palace success
Harry Kane could follow Michael Olise’s lead to see Tottenham’s Europa League celebrations on Friday.
Tottenham legend Harry Kane might be tempted to attend the trophy ceremony of his former club on Friday. Spurs won the Europa League on Wednesday night when they defeated Manchester United in Bilbao thanks to Brennan Johnson’s winner.

The win meant Spurs won their first trophy in 17 years and it secured them Champions League qualification for next season, a feat that is worth its weight in gold, financially and otherwise. Tottenham will be celebrating their Europa League title win with their fans on Friday, with plans already outlined to local people in the run up to the final.
Since the win, Spurs have confirmed that the trophy parade will pass through The Broadway/Fore Street (Southbound), High Road (Southbound past the Stadium). Lansdowne Road (Eastbound), Willoughby Lane (Northbound) and Northumberland Park (Westbound), with the parade starting at 5.30pm.
It has been a successful week for London football, with Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup final last Saturday, securing their first-ever major trophy. On Tuesday night, Palace beat Wolves in the Premier League in what was a celebratory homecoming at Selhurst Park. Palace players were given a warm welcome back from Wembley by their fans, and the players, Oliver Glasner and Steve Parrish all spoke on the pitch after the game, with long-serving player Joel Ward also saying goodbye.
For that fixture, Michael Olise, who left Palace for Bayern Munich on a big-money deal in 2024, visited his old teammates, with photographs showing him spending time with Palace players in the changing room. With Bayern having already concluded their season, winning Bundesliga, Olise was allowed to make the visit, which was sandwiched between the end of the season and the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins in mid-June.
Will Kane join Tottenham’s Europa League trophy celebrations?
It will be interested if Kane does the same to link up with his former Tottenham teammates at some point during Friday’s Europa League celebrations. Kane posted a congratulatory message on X after Wednesday night’s game, and irony of the situation won’t be lost on him.
The striker spent many years attempting to drag Spurs to silverware and ultimately left to end his wait last summer, joining Bayern Munich. It worked, with the striker winning Bundesliga this season and doing so by also winning the golden boot, but in the first season since Kane walked away, Tottenham won a major European honour, ending their 17-year trophy drought.
Still, Kane will be at peace with his decision amid a so far successful spell at Bayern Munich, and he will surely be pleased for his former club and their fans. Whether he will jet in for celebrations is another question, with the striker perhaps getting holiday time with his family ahead of another busy few weeks in the Club World Cup in the USA.
Kane will receive a friendly welcome if he does return to North London, with the majority of Spurs fans understanding the reasons for his departure. The striker is the club’s all-time top scorer, and he always represented the shirt in the way fans want to see.
