Tottenham are in a tail-spin following a turbulent few weeks culminating in a heavy defeat to Newcastle United over the weekend. Spurs have done away with Antonio Conte only to find themselves in even more troubled waters under Cristian Stellini, who has been unable to get a hold on this squad.

Stellini’s men - at the time - were thrashed 6-1 by top four rivals Newcastle United on Sunday, and it now looks like being top six at best for Tottenham as we head towards the final run-in, and they will approach that run-in under Ryan Mason after Stellini was sacked on Monday. What’s even more concerning is that, without Champions League football, Harry Kane could finally pull the trigger on his departure, and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer talk surrounding the Spurs skipper.

Kane’s current contract

As things stand, Kane is only under contract at Tottenham until the end of next season, with his deal expiring in the summer of 2024. What that means for Spurs is that, if they cannot agree to an extension this summer, they may well have to consider selling their now legendary striker to make sure they don’t lose him for free further down the line.

It’s well documented that Kane has pushed for a move in the past before performing a U-turn, but the striker could well have his future in his own hands heading into this summer, or failing that January. Tottenham will, no doubt, be sweating over the situation, faced with losing their best player amid a disappointing season that paints a bleak projection of the future.

Latest report

According to the Telegraph, Manchester United have already made enquiries to find out ‘what it will take’ to sign Kane this summer. United have also been heavily linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ahead of this summer, when they are very likely to pursue a frontman to finally replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to the report, Spurs chief Daniel Levy will demand at least £100million to sell to another Premier League club this summer. It will be interesting to see whether that will be a deal-breaker for United, given Kane is now approaching 30 years of age, but reports claim Osimhen could cost more than £130million.

Who else could be interested?

The Manchester City ship has sailed for Kane, given the Citizens landed Erling Haaland last summer. But there will be other clubs in the market for a frontman this summer, and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are undoubtedly one of those clubs. The Bavarian club are still yet to replace Robert Lewandowski properly, and they are being tipped to spend significantly to land a striker this off-season.

Having said that, some around Bayern have expressed concern over Kane’s price and age. Meanwhile, PSG are the other club to have been linked. The French giants have the means to pull off a deal, and especially if Lionel Messi leaves this summer, with a huge chunk of wages inevitably being freed up in that circumstance.
