It has been a busy couple of weeks for new Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou as the former Celtic gaffer builds his squad for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

James Maddison’s £40 million move from Leicester City heads up the business done by the North London club so far while permanent deals have also been struck for Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski with Guglielmo Vicario also arriving from Empoli for just over £17 million. Heading out of Spurs is midfielder Harry Winks who has now been confirmed as a Leicester player by the Foxes following a £10 million move.

Despite all that, the biggest ongoing story that Spurs supporters will be focusing on is the future of skipper Harry Kane who continues to be linked with a move to German champions Bayern Munich. There was heavily reported interest from Manchester United earlier in the summer but the Red Devils have moved on to other targets and it’s the Bundesliga winners who are now leading the race to try and sign the England captain.

The latest news sees fresh reports coming out of German media this morning that Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has met with Kane in London. Head of Football at Bild, Christian Falk, has tweeted that the pair got together to discuss the potential of him moving to the Allianz Arena this summer.

The striker is said to be keen to help Bayern win the UEFA Champions League, a trophy that has eluded them for the past three seasons. The former Chelsea boss will know Kane well from his time working in the Premier League and the German club are on record as looking for a new forward to lead their line during the current window.

Falk wrote: “Our Story: Thomas Tuchel has met Harry Kane at his home in London to Talk about a Transfer to FC Bayern. Kane told Tuchel it would appeal to him to win with Bayern the Champions League”
