Everton vs Tottenham early injury news as 8 ruled out and 5 doubts
A look at the early injury news surrounding Tottenham and Everton as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.
Tottenham are back in action on Sunday when they face Everton away from home on the heels of a Champions League draw with Monaco. Spurs were not particularly inspiring in that one, but they did manage to hold on to pick up a point days after losing to Aston Villa.

Everton come into this one after losing to Manchester City, but they have enjoyed a solid start, currently 12th in the Premier League. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams heading into this one.
Jarrad Branthwaite - Out
Branthwaite is now going to be out until the new year after suffering a setback. David Moyes has said: “He experienced a complication in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Following specialist consultation, it has been determined the defender will undergo a surgical procedure tomorrow to address the issue.”
Jack Grealish - Doubt
Grealish missed the last game, with Moyes saying: “Jack will be a miss for us because he's played so well, but we knew that when we came to play Manchester City, so it's not expected... We'll rejig and get ready to go.” Grealish’s issue is only expected to be minor, and he could return here.
Nathan Patterson - Doubt
Moyes said last week: “Unfortunately, [Nathan] picked up an injury for the Under-21s in midweek, so we've got bits and pieces going on, but all the clubs will be the same.” Patterson could return here.
Wilson Odobert - Doubt
Odobert picked up a fresh issue against Monaco. Frank said: “Actually, I don't know, but of course we subbed him off because there was some pain, but I don't know the consequences of it.”
Cristian Romero - Doubt
Romero has a fresh issue, with Frank explaining: “He had a minor issue with his adductor. I expect it to be a minor thing. He could be, he couldn't [be available for Wed]. I just don't know. Right now, if I'm honest.” Romero did not play during the week and will remain a doubt here.
Destiny Udogie - Doubt
Frank said ahead of last weekend: “He came back from international duty with a minor irritation in the knee, so that just keeps him out for this game.” It was expected that Udogie would return against Monaco but he didn’t, so he will remain a doubt here.
Dejan Kulusevski - Out
Kulusevsk is is going to remain out until late November. Frank said last month: “He's a key, key player for us. Instead of putting an exact month on [his return]. I just want him back as quick as possible. I know the medical team and Dejan are working very hard on that... It's not tomorrow, hopefully not too far away.”
Dominic Solanke - Out
Frank said last week: “Dom is progressing well after surgery, he's been back on pitch this week, he's progressing and going forward, that's good. I'm actually taking a little bit day by day and week by week to see how quickly he progresses.” He will be back in November.
Ben Davies - Out
Davies picked up a muscular injury during the international window and will remain out here, and for a few weeks.
Radu Dragusin - Out
It looks like Dragusin will be back in late October. Frank said last week in a fresh update: “He's progressing well. He's been on the grass for three weeks and is progressing as well as it should. We all know coming back from an ACL is a long one - he's on track - but it will be a few weeks before he's able to be involved.”
Yves Bissouma - Out
Bissouma is out for a few weeks with an ankle injury he picked up on international duty. Frank explained: “Biss, unfortunately, had a situation with the national team, I think everyone saw that, so he got a ligament injury to his ankle that will keep him out for weeks.”
Kota Takai - Out
Takai is expected to return within the next couple of weeks from a troubling ankle issue. He will need to build up his fitness.
