European giants place 'very good' Tottenham starter at the top of transfer shortlist
Tottenham could face interest in a number of their key players this summer.
Tottenham now have a fresh concern over a potential exit as they look to escape a concerning situation that has developed over recent weeks. Spurs have not only slipped down the table over recent weeks, now finding themselves in the bottom half, but they have also been hit by a handful of key injuries.

Thomas Frank has lost Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison to injuries that will keep all three out for at least a couple of months, and Dejan Kulusevski is still not ready to come back.
The sale of Brennan Johnson early in the window looks to be a foolish decision given the lack of options Spurs are now left with, although new signings are likely. Still, players like Mathys Tel and Xavi Simons are going to have to step up if Tottenham are to have any chance of finishing in the European spots this season.
And that’s something Frank may have to manage if he wants to have a second season in charge of Spurs, with pressure building quickly in his first campaign.
Work is ongoing to land new signings to add to the capture of Conor Gallagher, but there may also be concern over departures in the near future. Tottenham are not likely to sanction any major exits this month, but the summer could be a very different story.
There is already talk of Cristian Romero and/or Micky van de Ven being lured away, and now another key starter is said to be attracting interest.
Fresh Vicario concern
According to Tuttosport, Inter are looking to replace veteran goalkeeper Yann Sommer this summer, and Tottenham keeper Gugliemo Vicario is atop their list. The Italian giants are said to believe Vicario is an ideal fit for the profile they are looking for, and the player may well be interested given he would have the chance to return to his home country.
Vicario is tied down until 2028, but a sizable offer could force Tottenham to consider a deal, and there have been murmurings of Spurs tracking goalkeepers this winter, with Real Madrid back-up Andriy Lunin among those linked.
Vicario has not been ultra-consistent this season, but he has come up with some big games, most notably a goalless draw at AS Monaco when he bailed out his team time and again.
Frank said after that game: “I think the two goals against Villa, I don’t think it’s mistakes. I don’t think it’s any of that. It was two great finishes. What I would say, I think he was very good today. I think some of the saves were exceptional. He’s a big part of why we got a hard-fought point, but at the end of the day, it can be a crucial point.”
