'Looking' - David Ornstein issues update on Ange Postecoglou and makes Tottenham hierarchy claim
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is coming under increasing pressure.
Tottenham have a big decision to make this season, regardless of what happens in the Europa League. The North London side have endured a disastrous campaign that has left them stranded in the bottom half of the Premier League and needing to win the Europa League to qualify for Europe next season.

At time of writing, Spurs are just hours away from facing Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final, and Postecoglou will be going into that one knowing his long-term hopes of staying with the club are likely on the line.
The Australian was dealt a tough hand with the seemingly endless run of injuries this season, but not only did he fail to find an answer, but when players did return a few weeks ago, there was no bump, no real improvement. That has been the biggest factor of all in fans turning against Postecoglou, and it looks as though a parting of ways is inevitable at this point.
That is something journalist David Ornstein has alluded to, telling NBC Sport: “Players are not improving, and I think that’s a really key issue. Also, they feel at Tottenham that the squad is so much better than how they are performing, and that Ange Postecoglou is not getting the best out of them.
“There have been excuses and mitigations, like injuries. He’s been pointing to moles in the dressing room. But I just don’t think that is going to wash. And the hierarchy at Tottenham may be looking to alternatives. A change in the dugout this summer is beginning to look increasingly likely."
Postecoglou has been booed a number of times by Tottenham fans, and he has said in response: "It doesn't bother me. It's not the first time they've booed my substitutions or my decisions. That's fine, they're allowed to do that.”
He has also said of a potential leek in his dressing room: "Look, there is no doubt we have got a leak inside the club. Somebody who continues to leak out information. They have all year. I don’t know why. It doesn’t help us. It just makes our job more difficult. We try really hard to keep things in-house like all clubs because we don’t want on game day opposition being aware of any sort of team selection, but we’ve got somebody within our camp who continually gives out information.
“We’ve narrowed it down, we’ve been looking at it for quite a while and kind of have a fair idea of where it is coming from. We’ll deal with it but it’s not helpful for us and half of it is misinformation, half of it is half of the information but irrespectively, it certainly doesn’t help our cause because on game day what you want to try and do is keep as much information in-house. We try really hard to find out information about the opposition but with us, someone has an open line to what we do. It’s disappointing because you’d like to think everyone who is in our camp is working with us, not against us.”
