Daniel Levy's backing has now handed Ange Postecoglou the ultimate Tottenham boost ahead of Galatasaray
Tottenham are looking for their third straight win in all competitions when they take on Turkish champions Galatasaray on Thursday evening. They arrive in the Turkish capital with Ange Postecoglou boosted by the fact that his big summer signing is finally off the mark in style.
At the weekend, Dominic Solanke announced himself in grand fashion with two terrific goals, showing he could be Tottenham’s long-term replacement for Harry Kane. The striker finished off a beautiful move after being set up by the in-form Dejan Kulusevski, and he was back again to instinctively finish a move from Richarlison.

Since arriving from Bournemouth in the summer for a fee of around £60 million, Solanke has already impressed with his form, earning a call-up to the England squad. His recent goals, especially the ones from the weekend, will undoubtedly boost his confidence ahead of what Postecoglou has described as a "proper European game."
In 13 games for Tottenham, Solanke has scored five goals in all competitions—four in the league and one in the Europa League. There has always been a reputation that Daniel Levy doesn’t back his managers, which has often led to Tottenham falling short, but this is not the case with Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou has been backed with almost every player he has wanted, including Timo Werner, who was signed after the manager indicated his interest, despite Werner not fully convincing in his first stint in England.
