'Expected to complete medical' - Tottenham to announce another new signing after Conor Gallagher this week
Tottenham are now said to be closing in on another signing amid Conor Gallagher’s expected arrival.
An other new signing is said to have completed a medical at Tottenham following the arrival of Conor Gallagher. Gallagher is arriving on a £34million deal from Atletico Madrid, and he is already said to have completed his medical at Spurs ahead of returning to the Premier League.

Thomas Frank is in desperate need of bodies after a tough run of luck with injuries. Mohammed Kudus and Rodrigo Bentancur have now been ruled out for at least a couple of months, while Richarlison also looks to have picked up a hamstring issue.
Spurs are languishing in the bottom half of the table for the second straight season, and it looks as though they will miss out on silverware this season. Frank has a lot of work to do if he wants to convince his bosses that he must stay for a second season in charge, but he does need help.
Tottenham are likely to provide new signings this month, and Gallagher was the first, while there is also a defensive recruit heading to North London. According to Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas, Souza is set to join from Santos in a £13million deal.
It’s claimed the 19-year-old full-back will complete his medical on Thursday and that the deal is set to be announced some time after. Clubs like Chelsea have had success shopping for young talents in South America over recent years, and Spurs are now set to follow suit.
Souza has already racked up plenty of first-team experience, making 24 Brazilian Serie A appearances so far. He now looks set to test his ability in England, with Tottenham adding depth to the left side of their defence.
Given his age, it’s unclear whether Souza will compete for a spot straight away or whether the club will look to loan him out, or even get him experience with the under-21s. Either way, Spurs fans will be pleased to see the club attempting to strengthen for the future, something they have done with the likes of Antonin Kinsky, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
