Tottenham transfer news: Club ‘not against’ selling £43m Spurs target, West Ham target ‘training alone’ ahead of summer move

Tottenham striker Harry Kane says it feels like he and his teammates are getting fitter and better ahead of the new season.

Spurs have added experience and youth to their squad this summer, with manager Antonio Conte hoping to build a side capable of fighting both domestically and in the Champions League.

The Lilywhites are on the last stretch of their pre-season and they have looked sharp throughout, having recently come from behind to beat Rangers at the Ibrox.

That win followed an impressive outing in South Korea where they beat Team K League 6-3 before drawing 1-1 with Sevilla.

And Kane says he feels they are getting better - and that can only be good news.

He said: “We’re getting sharp. We’re feeling fitter every game, every training session.

“We look good. We’ve had some great additions. We’ve been working hard, the manager has been fantastic, all the staff and we have a great team.

“But as always, you have to take that into the season.

“It’s a long old year. It isn’t just about August or September, it’s about a marathon and a World Cup in between as well.

“Everyone’s moving in the right direction, there’s a really good feel amongst the fans and us.”
