The pair first met back in late April at the home of Tottenham, with Eubank Jr winning the fight by via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the bout 116-112 to the East Sussex-born boxer.

The first meeting between the duo came years after it was first planned after Benn twice tested positive for a banned substance, women's fertility drug Clomifene, in voluntary drug tests back in 2022.

However, just over one year ago he had his provisional ban lifted after a two-year battle with UK Anti-Doping and the British Boxing Board of Control. Benn always maintained his innocence and his provisional suspension was lifted after the National Anti-Doping Panel was "not comfortably satisfied" that Benn had been proven to commit an an anti-doping rule violation.

"A a rollercoaster period within which the WBC had already decided that I was innocent and the NADP decided in the first instance that there was no case to answer and I was free to fight,” said Benn after the decision was announced.

The ruling cleared the way for him and Eubank Jr to finally face off back in April and now the duo are set to do it all over again. The contest was a long time in the making after their fathers - Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr - fought each other in twice for the world title during the 1990s. Both fathers attended Thursday’s press conference.
