The Premier League is readying itself for its first all-top-six clash of the season this weekend.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea made winning starts to their respective Premier League campaigns, with Spurs beating Southampton 4-1 in comprehensive fashion, and the Blues seeing off Everton in a 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

The two will meet next at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon for an early-season showdown that promises to entertain in abundance.

In the meantime, however, there is plenty of transfer speculation to get through, and with that in mind, here are the latest stories from both North and West London...

Chelsea want Zaniolo

Chelsea “want to swap Christian Pulisic for AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo”, according to an update from CalcioMercatoWeb.

The Italian international has established himself as a key member of Jose Mourinho’s squad, but has been heavily linked with an exit this summer.

In particular, Tottenham had been touted as a potential destination - to the extent that a £40 million loan-to-buy deal was understood to be in the pipeline.

It is claimed that Mourinho “vetoed” the deal, however, with the former Chelsea and Spurs boss eager to keep Zaniolo in the Italian capital.

The Blues are said to be willing to test his resolve once more, however, and have tabled a straight swap offer involving the 23-year-old and USA international Pulisic.

Valencia eye Winks

La Liga outfit Valencia are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks as an “alternative” to Juventus star Arthur Melo, according to Spanish outlet AS.

The 26-year-old has fallen significantly down the pecking order in north London in recent times, and is not thought to be part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season.

As such, an exit is on the cards, with Serie A side Sampdoria also said to be interested in a potential move.

For his part, however, it is suggested that Winks has “rejected” the Italian club’s offer, and would instead favour a move to Spain with Valencia.

Interest in Emerson

Atalanta have expressed their interest in signing Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri, according to the Evening Standard.

The Brazilian has struggled to make a sustained impact on the first team picture at Stamford Bridge in recent times, and was sent out on loan to Lyon last season.

The ex-AS Roma defender impressed during his spell in France, and it is understood that both Atalanta and Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest have made “initial contact” over a potential deal.
