A look at the early injury news surrounding Chelsea and Tottenham as they prepare to face off next week.

We are now within a week of Chelsea and Tottenham going head to head in the Premier League, with both sides going into the game well-rested, given the international break and the fact both teams will not be in action this weekend due to the FA Cup taking centre stage.

Despite the break, both sides have plenty of injuries, while there are plenty of doubts over players who could yet be in contention. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams.

Radu Dragusin - Out

Dragusin is out until the end of 2025 after rupturing his ACL. Postecoglou has said: “Radu underwent surgery today following his ACL injury. That procedure has now been completed, and the centre-back will now commence with his recovery before beginning the rehab process.”

Dejan Kulusevski - Doubt

It is hoped Kulusevski will return here, with Postecoglou having said before the break: “Deki is the only one [who hasn't travelled]. He's got a knock on the foot, [and] it's got a bit sore in the last couple of weeks. He's been able to train and play, but it wasn’t getting better. He's unlikely to be back before the international break.”

Kevin Danso - Doubt

Danso picked up a hamstring issue before the break, with Postecoglou explaining: “He felt it right at the end of the game, so we will see. We have the international break, and Kevin looks after himself, so we will give him a good chance to get back. We have to let it settle down before we get clarity, but he will be pushing for sure.”

Lucas Bergvall - Doubt

Bergvall was sent home from Sweden duty with illness and it will be hoped he can return here.

Richarlison - Doubt

Richarlison is another doubt, with hopes he could return here. Postecoglou has said: “Probably post-international break. I think he should be there or thereabouts, depending on his progress. It's good to see him out on the grass.”

Omari Kellyman - Out

Having spent much of the season out, Kellyman has now confirmed that he will be out until the summer. He said: “Beyond gutted to say that this season has come to an early end for me due to a re-injury of my hamstring. 24-25 has been a tough season for me mentally and physically due to injury, but it’s important now that I take time to get this right...”

Cole Palmer - Doubt

Palmer will be a doubt as he continues to battle back from a muscular issue. Maresca has said: “It’s a muscular problem. He needs a scan, and it is planned for tomorrow morning. I hope he can be back for our next game, but we need to wait for a scan. We don’t wish players injury, but probably in Cole’s case, it will give him some rest, physically and mentally. It could be good.”

Marc Guiu - Doubt

Guiu picked up a hamstring injury and Maresca said at the time: “Marc will also be out for a while. He has a muscle problem, a hamstring issue as well, and will be out for a little while.” He is due back relatively soon, but we haven’t heard much about his exact return date.

Noni Madueke - Doubt

It’s hoped Madueke will be good to go here, with Maresca saying: “He will be back probably after the international break. Him and Noni [Madueke]. Before the international break we have two games, and finally, [the] break where we can recover the players and go for the last sprint.”

Nicolas Jackson - Doubt

Maresca said before the break: “He will be back probably after the international break. Him and Noni [Madueke]. Before the international break we have two games, and finally, [the] break where we can recover the players and go for the last sprint.” Jackson was spotted in training on Thursday.

Mudryk is suspended due to alleged use of a banned substance.
