Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is sweating over the fitness of both Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister who picked up knocks in their 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

The damages for the Bournemouth win though were the injuries to Moises Caicedo who has been a pillar for the Seagulls all season and Argentine World Cup winning Mac Allister who continues to excel.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi admitted he was concerned over the fitness of his star duo even if he doesn’t expect them to be out for a long time.

He told reporters: “It is not a big problem [for Caicedo] and the same for Alexis [Mac Allister].

“He had a small problem at the end of the first half and I didn’t want to take any risks as both are very important and I didn’t want to lose them.”

Brighton have launched an unexpected challenge for Champions League football and are within touching distance of Tottenham who are desperate to hold on to their fourth spot, making this weekend’s clash mount-watering.

The Lilywhites have also endured another difficult campaign having sacked Italian Antonio Conte and replaced him with his assistant Cristian Stellini.

Stellini started his interim tenure with a disappointing 1-1 draw at Everton on Monday night and will hope to pick up his first win since taking up the role this weekend.
