Tottenham will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they host Fulham who are taking to life in the Premier League.

Spurs were held at the London stadium by West Ham in midweek and would like to return to winning ways ahead of their Champions League group opener on Wednesday night.

Last week Italian manager Antonio Conte said the season finally starts now as midweek games and Cup competitions rear their head.

Their 11 points from the first five games is still quite impressive and if you consider the fact that they are still without a defeat in their last 11 top flight games, then you’d appreciate the transformative effect of Antonio Conte since he took over almost a year ago.

Against West Ham Oliver Skipp was on the bench for the first time this season and Spurs fans will be hoping that he is up to speed for his first minutes of the season against Fulham.

Missing though were the dynamic duo of Cristian Romero who made his loan deal permanent this week and Rodrigo Bentancur, who has barely put a foot wrong since he joined last winter from Juventus.

The duo alongside the hero of Amsterdam Lucas Moura, have been nursing injuries but Antonio Conte confirmed they were on the mend and could play a part in the London derby on Saturday.

The Spurs boss told reporters ahead of the game: “ Cuti (Cristian Romero) is ok he had two training with us and he is in the team and Bentancur is ok.

“Lucas is in the gym but aside that we are ok and and working well ahead of the game tomorrow.”

Spurs will close the gap on leaders Arsenal to just one point if they can take all three against Fulham who are without an away win so far this season.
